Sir Edwin Henry Landseer was an English painter and sculptor, well known for his paintings of animals, particularly horses, dogs and stags. Landseer was often commissioned by wealthy patrons to produce oil paintings such as ‘The Change’ and he even produced portraits depicting the royal household's pets.
