Contemporary artist Bev Davies specialises in expressive, characterful animal paintings. Since leaving art college in 1990, Bev has worked as a glass artist in a family business making bespoke chandeliers, only recently returning to her love of painting after a hiatus of 30 years. Bev uses muted tones and a limited palette to capture the cheeky animal faces and the feelings and emotions that they contain. Her style is free and distinctive, using a limited palette and a combination of watercolour with Pen and Ink. She wants her work to quietly talk to you and maybe, at the same time, make you smile. Bev enjoys the challenge of interpreting new subjects with her emerging and evolving style and palette of techniques.
