Modern French impressionist artist Paul Cézanne spent several months over the summer of 1888 working in Chantilly, north of Paris. For this painting he depicted the park surrounded the chateau he was staying at. Cezanne created an impression of depth by building up the landscape with organised patches of warm yellows and reds to contrast with the cooler blues and greens. This print is colour matched to the original painting and approved by the National Gallery. Every purchase supports the work of the museum.
