Painted in 1970, 'Bottle and Bowl, Blues on Green' followed the end of Ulster painter William Scott’s second period of painting pure abstract works. He only began to reintroduce objects back into his paintings in the late 1960s. This vibrant piece is an example of how Scott painted normal bottles and bowls with abstract forms. Produced in partnership with Tate and the Royal Academy of Arts.
