In 1918 the Italian modern artist Amedeo Modigliani produced 'A Young Girl with a Black Apron' which features an unidentified girl sitting on a chair with her hands crossed. The girl wears a stripped black dress which enhances the darkness of her hair. Like most of Modigliani’s portraits, she has been depicted with an elongated face and neck and almond shaped eyes.
